Garden Waste Tonne Bags

We’ve recently introduced a new service collecting tonne bags of garden waste. A tonne bag is a bit more manoeuvrable than a skip and can be used by people that don’t have enough garden waste to warrant a full skip. If you have your own tonne bag, you can use that. If you need one, we’ll drop one.

We are offering the garden waste tonne bas services in Areas 1, 2 and 3. We are currently unable to offer this service in Area 4.

What constitutes garden waste?

Yes, Please!

Any waste that has been generated by the pruning and trimming of the plants in your garden:

Hedge clippings
Small branches and twigs
Deadheaded flowers
Cuttings from mown grass
Raked up leaves
Whole shrubs that have seen better days

No, Thanks!

Please don’t put any of the following in a garden waste tonne bag:

Soil (obviously a little bit attached to plant roots is fine! But if you have just dug yourself a new patio, you’ll need to hire a skip.)
Stones and rubble
DIY waste (a dismantled greenhouse does not count as garden waste.)
Plastic bags (even if they once contained compost.)
Tree trunks and fencing
