Please Note: Our offices and yard will be closed for Christmas from lunchtime on Christmas Eve until Monday 4th January. We guarantee pre-Christmas collection of all skips, when arranged by Friday 18th December. Any bookings after this date will be collected at the earliest possible opportunity.

In the blink of an eye, another year has passed us by. 2015 has been an incredibly busy year for WT Skip Hire, but it is a challenge we have tackled head on and thoroughly enjoyed. We will soon be closing the yard as we take a break to enjoy the Christmas period, but we just wanted to take a moment to share our highlights from this year and let you know what you can expect from us in the year ahead.

Whilst the core of our business will always be in domestic skip hire, we are delighted to have expanded the commercial side of our business. During the year we have been fortunate enough to work with many high profile customers, most recently Morrisons, to assist them with their shop fitting and refurbishment projects.

Our Highlights From 2015

Following a significant increase in demand for our services, in May we welcomed Justin to the team, - increasing our team of dedicated lorry drivers to four. Our director, Gary Thurtle, also had the pleasure of attending The Awards for Excellence in Recycling and Waste Management. Held at the London’s lavish Landmark Hotel, not only was it an opportunity for us to mingle with leading names in the recycling industry, but also get dressed up for the evening – something we don’t get to do very often in our industry!

In June we were thrilled to team up with friend of the company, Mik Richardson, to hold our second skip art event on the seafront in Great Yarmouth. Following the incredible success we had with the event in 2014, it was great to be welcomed back by the borough council and for the event to be featured more prominently at the Anchor Plaza in the town. We also joined forces with Mik in September of this year, when he kindly painted more of his work onto the sides of our skips as we got involved with the Great Yarmouth Maritime Festival. The whole weekend was a fantastic event and we hope to be involved again next year.

Looking Ahead To a Successful New Year

The New Year already promises to be just as eventful. As we have mentioned in many of our blogs, we are always keen to build upon the skills and equipment we have as a company. For that reason we are excited to be welcoming on-board a new member of staff, expanding our fleet of vehicles and developing our recycling centre in the first half of 2016. Keep your eyes peeled on our blog for more information about all of that in the near future!

In the meantime we would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our customers a very Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year. We appreciate your continued support and custom, and look forward to working with you again in 2016.

If you would like to organise a skip for your New Year project, do not hesitate to get in touch. You can call us on 01493 668118, or drop us an email to info@wtskiphire.co.uk.
