So the Christmas period is over for another year and if you are anything like us, chances are you will still have a month’s supply of mince pies to get through and enough chocolate to last you until Easter. However, with twelfth night now behind us, it is time to throw away the decorations and Christmas tree for another year.
Christmas trees have been proudly displayed in homes up and down the country for more than two decades, but many of you will now be experiencing the annual dilemma of how to dispose of yours. Whilst we are all familiar with how to dispose of recyclable waste such as paper, cards, cans and bottles, the Christmas tree always poses a challenge.
Some of you will use your tree for compost, whilst others choose to replant them in an effort to save money in twelve months time. Fortunately, if yours is currently taking up space in the back garden, Norfolk has a number of recycling centres which will happily take it of your hands this weekend.
If you are looking to dispose of a real Christmas tree, you can take them to any of the Main Recycling Centres in Norfolk and place them in one of the green waste containers. These centres include:
- Mile Cross
- Ketteringham
- Morningthorpe
- Strumpshaw
- Caister
In the case of artificial trees; these can also be disposed at any of the Main Recycling Centres, but should be placed in the ‘scrap metal’ container if they are not reusable.
If you are looking to dispose of your Christmas waste or fancy a spring clean, we can supply skips in a variety of sizes. If you would like to arrange a skip delivery, do not hesitate to contact us on 01493 668118 or drop us an email to info@wtskiphire.co.uk.
