Do I Have to Be at Home for the Delivery of My Skip?

Experienced skip hire firm.

We prefer someone to be on site for the delivery or collection of a skip so that the relevant paperwork can be signed at the handover. However, we appreciate that it is not always possible and we will always do our best to accommodate customers who are unable to be present. Generally speaking though, it’s best for someone to be present. Here’s three reasons why:

  • Location. When someone is available to direct us, we can be directed to the precise location where you would like your skip to be stored. You may want it under a particular window or a car may have to be moved to site the skip on the road close to your house.
  • Paperwork. It’s easier for everyone if skips are signed for at the moment of delivery, but we will make exceptions when it is not possible for someone to be on site.
  • Mistakes. Nobody’s infallible and it has happened that someone has ticked the wrong box on the online form and accidentally ordered the wrong size skip. Or forgotten to specify that they needed a dropgate for a wheelbarrow. Such errors can be quickly sorted out at the moment of delivery.

Relevant Certification

When you hire a skip from WT Skip Hire, you can be certain that you are dealing with a reputable company that is in possession of all the relevant certification. These licences are all available to download if you need copies for your paperwork:

  • Waste Management Licence
  • Liability Insurance
  • Waste Carriers Licence
  • Continuing Competence Certificate
