Disposing of hazardous waste requires specialist skills to ensure that the chemicals don’t leak out and damage the environment or pose harm to those handling them. For this reason, we are unable to take household hazardous substances such as paint, varnishes and anti-freeze in our skips. If you are looking to dispose of these kinds of items, the recycling centres run by Norfolk County Council have just released a calendar of amnesty days.
