Tonight is the big night that we at WT Skip Hire have been waiting for now for over a month. We will attend the 2014 Spirit of Enterprise Awards and hope to walk away with one of the coveted awards. In anticipation of the great occasion we thought we would remind readers of our blog about the event and what we have been shortlisted for. The Spirit of Enterprise Awards EnterpriseGY, an organisation funded by the Great Yarmouth Borough Council, created the Spirit of Enterprise Awards as a way of celebrating and promoting enterprise amongst the local businesses in the Great Yarmouth area. Over the last 7 years there have been many worthy winners and we hope to add our own name to that growing list. We'll be suiting up for the night out so be sure to keep an eye on our blog for next week's post for the result. Either way we are sure it will be a great night where we can appreciate the work of some great local businesses. We have been shortlisted in the category of ‘Great Marketing Initiative’ alongside 2 other companies. This award recognises those that have showcased the best new marketing initiative, including:
- A new website
- Social media
- TV campaigns
- Radio campaigns
- A creative exhibition
Our marketing campaign with Mik Richardson Thanks to the great artwork that Mik Richardson produced using our skips back in June we were chosen as a shortlisted finalist. Mik Richardson is the artist responsible for the hugely popular Freddie “Radio Go Go” Gorilla from last year's ‘Go Go Gorillas’ trail that took over Norwich in 2013. We commissioned him to create artwork on the side of two of our skips in a bid to raise the profile of our company and to add a great piece of artwork that creates a lasting image of the local landscapes of Norwich, Great Yarmouth and the Norfolk Broads. The work that he created on our skips was a sight to behold and really captured the essence of the local area.
