In November of last year work began on the 71 acre Nova Scotia solar farm on fields between Caister and Ormesby. In recent weeks work has picked up pace and WT Skip Hire are proud to have been providing skip hire and recycling services for this project. Our team have been providing enclosed and roll-on-off skips for the work. These containers are available in 20 and 40 yard sizes and are ideal for large scale projects with high volumes of waste to dispose of. When completed around 1,000 panels will be positioned on the site, capturing the sun's energy. This will then be converted into electricity and used to power local homes. The company behind the project anticipates that enough electricity will be generated to power around 4000 homes, saving 7,264 tons of CO2 annually. You can see an image of the site in this article from the EDP.
