WT Skip Hire Receive VIP Invitation to Prestigious Award Ceremony

At WT Skip Hire, we are very environmentally friendly and have our very own waste management system, ensuring the majority of the waste we collect avoids landfill. With frameworks in place for household recycling to hit 50% and non-hazardous construction and demolition waste to hit 70% by 2020, local authorities as well as companies (big and small) are doing their best to improve recycling and sustainable waste management. The Awards for Excellence in Recycling and Waste Management is a well-known event within the recycling industry which delivers true value and recognition to leaders of innovation within the sector. Our director, Gary Thurtle, has the pleasure of attending this renowned awards ceremony on 14th May 2015 at the lavish Landmark Hotel in London. This award ceremony is one of the most memorable and important days in the recycling and waste management calendar. Categories The event has eleven categories including:

  • Retail Recycling Champion: This award recognises a successful project or initiative which has delivered greater recycling and/or improved sustainability in waste management within the retail sector.
  • Waste Management Initiative in the Commercial and Public Sector: This category is open to entrants who can show how they have organised high levels of recycling and/or waste diversion/minimisation solution in the service they are carrying out.
  • Collection Crew of the Year: This award recognises the dedication and excellent service provided by a collection crew involved in either waste collection, recycling or both.
