WT Skip Hire is set to increase its already impressive recycling rate by beginning plate glass recycling at its Great Yarmouth recycling centre. The glass is used across many industries, including window and door manufacturers, car production and furniture design. It means that elements of everyday objects that the company collects, such as mirrors and shower screens, can now be diverted from landfill. The glass is taken by a third party for onward recycling and can be reused to make glass cullet or even aggregates. WT Skip Hire director Gary Thurtle says: “This represents our ongoing commitment to diverting as much waste as possible from landfill. It's what our customers are demanding from us and it's great for the environment.” More information about all our waste recycling services can be found by clicking here.
